Silkie jersey giant cross hen or roo?

Blue is my three-week-old Jersey Giant silkie cross. The mother is a purebred almost 10 lb Jersey Giant. The father is most likely my white purebred silkie rooster. Trying to figure out if blue is a potential rooster or hen. I already have two small roosters and a giant silkie rooster may not fit the mix well. DNA sexing will take too long and is a bit costly for my little blue. What are your thoughts? Can you suggest how I can confirm hen or rooster?

Now that's an unusual cross lol. I wouldn't think it was even possible but I guess so! The tall comb may indicate cockerel or maybe it's like that because of the mixed genetics of the chick. I think it's just to young to be certain of its sex at this point. Wait until 7 or 8 weeks and try again.

So we purchased what we were told 2 jersey giant pullets, they are a little over 7 weeks, male, female, one of each? Any guesses? Hard to get good pics, they won’t stay still!! Lol

Since the chick is half silkie, it may take much more than 8 weeks of age to be sure of gender.

Silkies are hard to sex in general... crosses are usually even harder.. I had 2 silkie x rir chicks (profile picture) one I suspected was a roo, the other hard to tell... until one day they both started crowing.. nothing is ever for sure until then is the white chick you pictured related? If so, little Blue's comb certainly does seem to be much more defined.
