My biggest cockerel I bred was 24 inches tall, & 15lbs. He was Brahma X Easter Egger.

Personally I was never interested in the Bielefelder since I mainly breed for a long term ornamental breed creation project. I like the body shape and proportionally larger legs of malayoids. Bielefelders are nice tho. My friend who wants Mystery Chicken's Silkie LF was convinced to try breeding from a friend who raises Bielefelders

This is before I got my Malays. He was a parent cross I was gonna use for a project, but he got killed a few days after I took that picture.

I just got the Malays this year, & not a breed age yet. I also have 3 extra cockerels that needs new homes.

They are sweet, but can pack a punch. And they aren’t as heat tolerant as others...especially here in Florida, but they can hold their own, and the color variants that can possibly come from them is what is my inspiration for my future breeding project. Plus they are dual purpose which means good meat and egg production. They are my first pure breed so I can’t help but to muse over them, I’m sure once my other runs are up and running I’ll be onto my next favorite

Oh nice. Im sure there's someone in the Exhibition and SOP forum who would be interested. I think interested in abnormally large birds has grown in recent years due to the videos of them online. Hopefully Malayoids make a comeback.

True. Speaking of which, my friend was asking how much u would want for that Silkie chick if it doesn't meet the standards you want?
