Silkie Lovers, Show Off Your Fuzzy Chickens Here?!

Pics
Guessing you have too many roosters?

I only have one pen for breeding my silkies and I absolutely adore the rooster I have. He's not perfect himself but he's proven he produces beautiful pure white chicks and beautiful partridges.

From what I've found, my rooster is a recessive white male that's brown partridge under the white. Hence why he produces both nice quality chicks depending on what colour female he's with.

His temperament is good too so I don't want to replace him.

If I do keep another Cockerel, he'll have to be stunning to make me decide that.

Sure, you can share it.
First off, remember these two? SnuggleBug, & his son Buggles.

His father gave Buggles some interesting colors.
Buff on shoulders. Looks yellow due to my dumb camera.

Looks interesting!

Maybe he decided he no longer wanted to look like his father :gig

I have had whites in the past with the black flecks on the wings. I believe it was some form of very slight leakage. I also had one white Silkie hen that had one single black hard feather on her wing. Every other feather was white.

This was her:

Her sister just had the flecks on a few feathers. I sold them on when I started getting into showing because their toes weren't correct for breeding.

They were beautiful girls, just didn't suit my requirements anymore.

She's cute. The father carries the lavender gene.
Here's CuddleBug, who shows it.
I bred my silkie roo, SnuggleBug with a Porcelain D'Uccle hen.

I've been thinking of crossing my Silkie with one of my mams blue Plymouth Rocks but it's a pain of going through quarantine so I probably never will:th
