Silkie Lovers, Show Off Your Fuzzy Chickens Here?!

Pics
I decided on keeping these two (all depending on if they truly are female) and I'm in love with how they are turning out!

Aw that's a shame, although I do think it looks pretty on them, judges don't :barnie

Over here, if you enter such a bird into a 'fun' class they could be shown but I guess it depends on what certain judges will accept.

Interesting. Not sure how exactly how poultry shows are here, it'll be my first time showing, once we find a poultry show near us, I'll figure out what categories are available for each bird.

This is Tiger. She was a stripey little chick. She’s the littlest of my 4 silkies. But she has the best pantaloons. And she’s already practicing her broodyness.
Her color is partridge, correct? I have another that has similar patterning but slightly different color. You clever silkie folk can help me out. I’ll take a pic of Chief tomorrow. She has a much darker larger head poof. These girls are lowly hatchery stock but we don’t breed of show. They are just part of our happy little homestead and my daughter is crazy about her rabbit chickens

Cute.
Nice partridge, & splash you've got.

Thank you.
Yes the splash is my out and out favorite. Her name is lavender. She’s my daughters fave too. So she gets picked up the most so she’s the tamest and on and on.
I got a batch of pullets a year ago and one was a splash like her. They brought myco into my flock and we sadly started over. When I ordered 4 random silkies I sooo hoped for a splash. She was the most beautiful lavender color as a chick.

Silkies are just all kinds of fun, with their puffy faces, floofy bodies, & fluffy butts. The tamest silkies we have is our SQ Silkies.
