Silkie meat, black?

My father and I have had many discussions on this, and I have decided to ask before I go eating my silkie.
Many many years ago when we were watching some cooking TV show, they opened baskets and found black chicken. A few years ago when I hatched my first silkie chicks, I noticed their skin was purple.
lets just skip to the point, do silkies have black meat?
