6 weeks is much,much too young for silkies. Silkies are one of the most difficult to sex early. Generally 4-5 mos. is a good time but, some can't be sexed till they crow or lay eggs.
He doesn't appear to have the black beak,skin, legs of the breed. Is this a hatchery silkie?

In the case of a partridge silkie the male can easily be spotted by his color much sooner than other silkies. Check out the Silkie thread.
