My silkie pullet is almost ten weeks old and she is really really small; her sister (same age) is about 3 (or more) times her size. She can walk but she stands with her head tucked in most of the time. Every once in a while she'll walk to another spot to stand. She'll also preen herself and rest her head on her back like birds do, so I don't think it hurts her, and she seems pretty alert. She just doesn't move much and I just can't get her to eat anything; I've tried eggs with no luck, and I've had to spoon-feed her yogurt and water with electrolytes and probiotics which she did pretty good with yesterday.
She got pecked by a hen and was bleeding from her nose and both ears 4 or 5 days ago, and she's been acting like this for 2 or 3 days, so I wouldn't be surprised if the pecking induced it...
I've brought her inside and tried feeding/watering her but only got a few drops of each in her. Is there anything else I can do?? Anything I can try? Mostly I've been trying to get her weight up.. Appreciated any help!!

She might have brain swelling and there is something you can do for that. I know because I'm nursing my silkie right now for wry neck which many think is also brain swelling. There is a drug to reduce the swelling which is conterversail because it is a steroid how ever it does reduce the swelling. It is called predinsone or predinsolone. It needs to be given in a very specific way.mine should arrive today with those specific instructions. Pm me later and once it arrives I can tell you those specific instructions.I know you have to taper off dose gradually but I will have EXACT instructions once mine arrives. If you can get a vet to OK a prescription of it for you you can get it in liquid form from 1800petmeds. It only takes a phone call to OK the prescription. I got my RX from a poultry doctor. So it won't be in liquid form but in pill form. However you can get it either way. As soon as it arrives I'll know the exact milligrams and instructions and I'm happy to help you with that. All you need to do if find a place to OK the prescription and ship it to you. I hope this helps.what you can also do for the swelling is give her Bayer it has to be Bayer low dose children's aspirin. As long as she's not bleeding any more because aspirin can worsen bleeding. But if she's no longer bleeding give the Bayer low dose children's aspirin twice a day. I also am doing this
I take the aspirin and dislove it in a syringe and give it to her this way. If she's not drinking on her own. I really hope this helps and I do urge you to try to find the predinsone. It will help her brain swelling. In the meantime use the Bayer low dose children's aspirin. Pm me if I can be of any more help and I truly hope your bird gets better. Best wishes!

I'd like to thank you so much for your help.. My girl died before I could even try the aspirin, I've been kicking myself for the past three days about it :'( I'll remember your advice though, if something like this happens in the future! Knock on wood that it doesn't! Thank you again, especially since you were the only one who replied :')
