I have 2 silkie roos and 1 hen. If I give them bread by hand, the hen eats every last speck from my hand. The other 2 roos either won't take it, or peck and miss the bread. If I put it on the ground, they peck and miss it. Is it a genetic problem with silkie eyesight?

somtimes silkies poof on there heads over grow into there eyes. Maybe you should check to see if this is the problem. Somtimes it needs clipping. Do you have a pic of your roos?

No , they're not skittish at all. It just has to do with the males going to peck something on the ground and missing. Same with taking bread out of my hand, they miss.

Yea hope this pic is good enough. Oh, btw, they are falling asleep here, LOL

I'm sure it's just that they can't see. My silkies act like normal chickens after heavy rain and their crests glob together on their heads and they can see. But once they dry up and poof back out, they act like total fluff heads again. LOL
