I am adding Silkies and have some questions...

-Since there are only bantam Silkies in the US, the eggs are bantam, right?
-They don't look much smaller than standard sized chickens. How much smaller are they?

    Thank you.

Silkies according to the Standard of Perfection, Cocks should weigh 36 ounces, and Hens should weigh 32 ounces. Where as Standard chickens range from anywhere from 6lbs for females and 10lbs for the males but vary greatly depending on the breed. Leghorns for example are Cocks 6lbs and Hens 4.5 lbs.
