Silkie reaching point of lay?

I would check her crop to make sure there is food in it and make sure that she is taking fluids and food today. Offer some favorites. Mine like scrambled egg, tuna, and wet chicken feed. Then feel of her crop in early morning, before she has taken anything, and make sure the crop has emptied overnight. Look her over for lice and mites under her belly. Also feel inside her vent for a stuck egg as @LynnaePB suggested. Make sure that she is walking properly. Let us know how she gets along.
Thank you, these are all great suggestions! I am going to wait a bit longer before I feel inside for an egg…but I have checked her for mites, lice, and other ick. So far so good, although silkies are a LOT harder to get down to their skin thru the fluff! :) She are her treats like a normal chicken and I saw her drink water a few times. All good there so far but will check to make sure it’s empty in the morning. She seemed a bit more active this evening so maybe she’s feeling a bit better. I will update!

This morning Fuzzy ran out like the others, drank water, ate treats and is currently dust bathing with her sister :) Seems like good signs! ❤️
