This just in, on Saturday a tragic error left the coop locked well into darkness-
On the night Bennie was supposed to be re-homed due to human aggression...
However Bennie the nearly 3 pound PQ Silkie Roo successfully defended his flock from a young possum.
The fight was loud and caused the humans to respond helping send the preposterous possum away.
Bennie then retreated under a bush as the other chickens were allowed into the unfortunately closed coop.
Bennie's wounds (gash on black right flank, comb chewed on) have been treated and it look like he needs just one more day at the Avian seclusion pen to fully heal.
The tragic part of these events is that the LF junior roo Fiesta has taken over the flock, he doesn't even has spurs yet...
Further details as forthcoming, that is all.
