Thank you for the insight! You are right, I am only looking for a sweet pet rather than show quality. Out of curiosity, how would you rate her genetics though? I am buying her to brood my partridge silkie roo's chicks and he has problems with ingrown feathers and feather cysts on his feet. Do you think the chicks will be healthy?Pullet. She's gorgeous.
I assume you're not, but just incase you are planning to show her just be aware she has a single comb. Silkies should have walnut. But if you just want her for an adorable pet or broody that shouldn't be a problem.
Wow! Was that girl a silkie? I hear they generally start laying at 7-9 months.Looks more like a 4 month old pullet, unless she's extra slow to mature like my girl who turns 7 months next month. Her half sister started laying at 5 months old.
