I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread so I apologize in advance.
When we first got our six Silkie chickens within a couple of weeks we could easily see that we had at least two roosters. Now they have gotten bigger yet combs for some are varying along with their size. Now I wonder if have three or four because lately I have seen three/four different silkies flaring their hackles at one another. They will be 8 weeks old Monday. Judging by their behavior do any of you know if this means they are roosters? Can hens flare their hackles also?
