I recently got a silkie rooster from a country fair. I have 5 tetra tints and 2 pullets. I live in northern nj so sunrise is around 6 am. Problem is he starts going off at 5- 530 and dosent stop until almost 8.I have no problem with him crowing for sunrise and sundown but he makes the most godawful sounds for three hours long it sounds like a chicken mid crow and then it gets squeezed by an imaginary hand and distorts the sound to something not pleasant to hear at all. I need to figure out a way to help calm him down or something because i have a feeling its getting out of hand.
