Hello first time posting on here! I have a flock of 27 with 3 roosters. One rooster was a suprise extra he is about a year old now. I ordered another rooster for protection from a dog that had attacked my flock earlier last year he is now about 6 months old. I also have a silkie rooster named Alan he is also about 6 months old. I had 2 female silkies that came with him but unfortunately that same dog attacked again and I lost half my flock again including my silkie females. Needless to say the people who own that dog had a call from the police and I think that made them cage the dog. Anywho I have decided to rehome my two bigger roosters they are just so rough on my girls and there is no need for them right now. I want to keep Alan tho I'm just worried about having him with all the big hens. Any advice? Thanks!! The picture is of my little Alan!

Thank you!! Yes he was raised with all the hen I have now. I lost about half over the summer from the dog attack so I do have some new chicks I just introduced to the remaining older flock they are all getting along great. I hate to rehome Benny and Mr. Bernard but I can tell my hens are just beat up and worn out. Thanks!!

I think he’ll be fine. I have a little silkie rooster who looks very much like your Alan in with my standard hens. His flock of silkie hens (plus my other silkie rooster) were all killed, so I put him in with my big EE rooster and his girls. Haven’t had a problem yet!
