The domed head will have a second bulb that sits on top of what would be a normal skull. Breeders like them because it can give them a bigger topnot. I don't like them because often the birds are off, especially it they get pecked on it. The brain isn't as well protected and often they can end up mentally disabled.
In the last few photos you rooster is sitting in a similar manner as the one domed silkie I had that wasn't right from the start. If that's the case he may never be assertive. I can't tell by looking at him, but if he acts slow or odd it might be the reason. Time will tell for him.
