when do silkies start crowing?

My 3 month old buff silkie started crowing very quietly 3 wks ago. He sounded like a turkey at first but now 3 wks later, he is getting louder and now sounds like a traditional crow. Still not as loud as my two standard sized EE's that I rehomed because they were too loud and the hens didn't like them snatching them by the cheeks as soon as they stepped foot outside the coop in the morning.
