What type material is best for Silkies to walk on in their pen ? I want to keep their feet as clean as I can during the rain and snow weather. Thank you

Hi there, welcome to BYC!

I live in the PNW where we sometimes get 100 inches of rain. I bred Silkies for a few years, and they had zero issue with grass pasture and a covered run which included hay, shavings, rice hulls, grass clippings, dry leaves, etc... semi-deep litter.

As long as they have dry shelter, you can use whatever you like.

Mine are on mulch and haven't had any issues.
