Silkie saga

We are getting our first snow of the season today. The silkies seem unphased, the layers are still doing their thing. All the runs are covered and the snow isn't blowing so the chickens still have a lot of bare ground to walk on.

This one on the other hand, is loving the snow!

She melts in the summer but absolutely loves the cold weather. Ice, snow, she loves them both.

My dog Toby is like that, he over heats so easily. He just loves frigid cold temps!

I got another egg today! It's from the chocolate frizzle! It's the same color and texture as the one I got Saturday as well, but a little darker than the first 4 I found. There may be two laying. I hope the egg didn't get too cold, and of course I had to mention on another thread thay at least we aren't getting single digits, yep, now they've updated our forecast to single digits tomorrow night and Saturday night with low teens between now and then. I had separated the silkies into breeding pens, but with the single digit weather I'm going to be putting them all back together.
