Great questions! No, I would not let him play in NYC streets for the obvious reasons. No, I don't think I'll be getting two of them being that that wouldn't be necessary. The way that I raise and train my chickens/quails/pigeons is completely different and unique. I won't get into details on here but just take my word for it. My animals' well-being is #1. They live like kings and queens. I can assure u of that.
