Silkie sexing

Some of our flock from last year. I haven't got any recent flock pictures. Unfortunately, we lost out reds (except one rhode island) due to the ridiculous heat wave this summer. We're putting in fans & such before next summer. I was distraught finding 2 in one day. We gave an area that our ac dips into that they stand in to cool them off, but next year I want to bury a kiddie pool a bit under our back deck (when we have time to put that thing together) for them. That way I can go out and dump ice in it from time to time to cool the water a bit rather than it just being mud

I have no idea! I have 4 ft fence & my buff orpingtons don't bother going over.

How old? (Hatch date) and if you can see the comb and see how big the comb is.

Silkies are notoriously hard to sex and it’s no joke when everyone says you will know when they crow or lay an egg 😁

If you don’t want to wait till they are 4 or 5 months old you can do a gender DNA test. I did this for 3 silkie chicks I had here, I wanted a Roo but all three were pullets - that never happens for it hahaha!
I purchased my chicks on I think June 10th. They were all supposed to be a out 2 weeks (because I wanted them to be about the same age as my flock hatched chicks) the only one that I know for sure wasn't the same age was my polish which was 2 weeks older (so 4 weeks) o do feel like he said the silkies were a week younger but I don't remember! I'm guessing the silkie is anywhere between 18-20 weeks? I don't notice any waddle growth yet & the comb is still relatively flat.

Her skin looks a little dry, but I just changed their food.

how do you make a chicken go broody or do you know any really cheap incubators
Mine was purely natural & unintentional. I don't have an incubator. I'd look at Amazon & tractor supply! I do know that if you want a low fuss one, get a rotating. If you don’t you'll have to go in like once a day to rotate the eggs by hand
