Thank you for your guess, I will keep posting pics as they grow (patience is not my strong side so I really want to know asap ). What would you say about their age? when we bought them we got a vague 'they should be between 3 - 5 weeks' so I can only go from this, however when I have a look at other pics above of the same age they do look much larger and more developed? We do have them for 4 weeks tomorrow so I know they can't be younger than that, but that's all I am sure about at this stage. [COLOR=B42000] [/COLOR]Thank you for a hint on what you think their age might be on these pics (as mentioned on the last post the white one had 318g and the dark one 380g when these were taken last weekend if that helps). Based on feathering I would be surprised if they were less than 10 weeks old. Also I won't be surprised if they're both pullets in the end. I have a hard time determining the sex of non bearded silkies.

This is malificent. She is the smallest one. The comb says boy, but she is half the size of the other three. Most laid back one too.

This is her profile very tiny.
This is pumpkin. If this one isn't a boy I will be shocked. Biggest one. Wants to face off all the time. No comb though. Sorry couldn't get that great of a profile. Was scared to death. Was the only one that was hiding between my legs! This is all 4 of them together. I think pumpkin and gypsy are boys, and storm and malificent are girls. or malificent is the only girl.

They are awfully young to accurately sex but I was going to guess exactly what you said! Even before reading it. I sure hope at least 2 are pullets for you tho!

thanks me too!!! I think at this point either 2 boys, and 2 girls or 3 boys and 1 girl. If I have 3 boys and 1 girl I have no idea what I am going to do!!! agh!!!!

They are so cute!!! Just adorable ! I'm a newbie myself but agree w/ y'all ! I jus posted my pics today for my lil ones (8weeks) and by 6 weeks it seemed more obvious to me. Enjoy them all while they are a mystery!!

Thanks! I taught them today to stand on my finger! big achievement today! In 2 weeks I will post again & see if anything has changed! I agree with ash tree. Your 1st one The Hustons definitely looks like a boy. 2 & 3 definitely look like girls!

Can anyone point me to where the pictures that show clearly what streamers and saddle feathers look like on silkies? I've never been able to figure that out.
