Hi! I'm wondering if someone can take a look at one of our silkies. One day I am thinking s/he is a for sure a he, then the next a very slight chance he's a she. S/he is exactly 3 months old, is slightly smaller than our other two, and does not seem to show any male/female behavioral characteristics that our other two do. So far no eggs or crowing (obviously). Thanks for looking!

These two I think I have sexed correctly. Phoebe (she) below.

And Joey (he) below.

I think your black is a boy.

Hiya don't no if I'm posting in the right place so sorry if not but I have just got 4 silkies unsure on sex and would love to no

This is the right place, but you will need to wait until your chick is a couple months old. For now Id say watch behavior, thats going to be the best indicator for awhile.

Hi everybody,

here are some updated pics of my babies. They are about 3 month old now and I still don't have a clue as to what they will turn out to be

.
What do you think?

The partridge silky:

One day I think he is a she because of the 'rather submissive' bahaviour and the round crest and the missing streamers and the even patter, the next day I think she is a he because of the rather large comb and feet and the fact that s/he is much bigger than the white one... confused....

The white silky:

I kind of lean towards cockerel with this one due to it's behaviour (skittish and alert and 'defensive' if this makes sense) however the comb is smaller the whole bird actually is the smaller one and I do not see any streamers yet, so maybe it's a pullet?

Please help if you can.
