silkie sexing

There were 3 of these babies to start with but we lost 2 of them when one of our goats laid on them. I've only had them for a week now and all three had feathers missing there when I got them. So not sure if it was from a rooster or if her adult feathers are still coming in. I don't have her anywhere near the roosters since she's come to our farm so if that was the cause then it's no longer an issue. I got my other 2 silkies as they were just hitting maturity so I didn't see them at this younger stage. These babies were given to me as a gift from someone who doesn't know anything about chickens and all my other birds I got as adults as well so I'm just guessing how old she is by other pics I've seen. Maybe she is 6 months????

Silly question, but can you please tell me what color Petrie is? I'm much more familiar with large fowl, and haven't dealt with funny colors! Sorry for the bad pictures, my dad picked it up for me, and I havnt gotten to bring it home yet! Grey with rust, so partridge something maybe? Supposed to be 12-14 weeks, hoping for a hen, but was too funny to pass up

Oh, I know! I found it on CL after keeping my eyes peeled for 3 years. I don't even have my coop finished, but my parents were close enough to pick up AND have 3 birds of their own so I got away with my impulse purchase. I figure of it ends up a roo I'll just get a couple silkie hens and make my own show girl flock

So lucky you!!! I want a calico!! LoL I have 4 silkies that just hatched out this week and 12 more in the bator Hatch day is aug 22 woot!!! I just love silkies!! So funny tho my hubby is just finishing up on my Jersey Giant Coop and I go and surprise him with the news tht I need another for my silkies!!

I have one white and two lavender and one black so far!!!
