My first meaningful post here, and I'm probably in the right place as I have zero silkie knowledge currently.

I've got this quirky crossbeak girl/boy, rescued with a whole bunch of bantams from Craigslist. I had just assumed it was a hen, but it's been really aggressive towards another bantam rooster. (who is about as beta as they come - he regularly runs away from my standard sized girls). So dunno if this is just another lady he is terrified of, or a rooster. Have not heard in any crowing in over a month.

Ok so here are my new chicks. They are 4 weeks old. I know it's pretty early but anyone have any guesses on pullet or roo? I think #3 has really big feet lol.

Update: y'all were right and the breeder was wrong. Both silkies are crowing so..definitely Roos! So much for him being able to tell at 5-6 weeks old! They were supposed to be females.

I have no idea, but I'm very interested to find out! You're so right about #3 having big feet - but it has such a thin-looking comb.

Yeah I know 3 has a strange comb. I think these might be from a hatchery. So they probably won't be show quality, but I don't care cause they are pets anyway. Lol

This one particularly stumps me.

I thought this one was white but now with dark splices I'm thinking splash?
