I have a silkie chick who is getting a red comb, would you say its a male?

It`s black and I think there all about a month old. i have to let my phone charge then ill get better pics of him.

It has a big comb for a month old chick, I'd say cockerel. But not sure though. Post more pictures when it is about 4 or 5 months. Maybe even 3 months. You sex Silkies by their neck feathers.

That doesn't look like a silkie. It has smooth feathers and no visible crest. Maybe a cross of sorts...

But yes it does look like a cockerel.

its a very poor breed silkie cockerel wouldnt keep him for breeding silkies from

It could be mixed, but it looked like a full silkie when it was little. Will most likely try to find a new home for him and another male chick I have...
