8 weeks old. I am thinking boy? Same size as the other silkies I have but I little bit bigger comb. Also the weird "normal" feathers on the head and neck?
Thanks for any imput!

P.s he is suffering (and being treated for) an eye infection. It's almost better but that's why one of his eyes looks wierd.

The weird feathers should go away as he gets old and the caps for the feather come off :) Your little silkie dies look like a roo to me. Especially the way his feathers go back on the top of his head. Maybe someone else will have better imput?

Hi! My silkies are 6 or 7 weeks old maybe even 8 lol when i got them from the guy he said one week and ive been counting from the day he said that but the growth hasnt seemed consistent to others their age. I have 2 and one seems he is probably a boy for sure and the other im not sure on. One of them is tame and the other is very flighty they have always been like that only way to twll them apart up until now and i actually think it might be backwards from what you would think meaning the boy is calm the "girl" is jumpy but i need a little more time with them to be sure on that i just discovered all of this while letting them free range with my kids. the boy has a wattle and comb that sticks up and his ear is a lot more noticable than that of the girl which isnt and has no wattle and the comb is wide but flat almost at least compared to the boy. Both of their crest on the head isnt very full the girls maybe a tad bit more no streamers as of yet that i notice i am new to chickens all together.
Am i right one boy one girl or one boy maybe girl tome will tell? Or both boys? Thank you so much for any help!!

This on is th one i am hoping is a girl

Her comb is deceiving.... But it does look like one male and one female, based in how they are standing in the middle pic. Female has a droopier tail :)

Yep, I would go with a roo... Your description of the feathers on head and neck is spot on for males; crest feathers will sweep back, into hackles that are longer than females... You must have a fast feathering gene in there lol, that usually doesn't show up until 3-4 months ;)

Oh wow really?! Yay!!! Ive been losing hope thinking they look exactly alike except the comb and wattle. I hadnt noticed the tail i will be paying more attn to that! Thank you for your input!

Was told this little one is a Silkie bantam cross maybe. It's about 6ish weeks old. Ideas on gender?

Does the black one have some frizzle in it? Oh that's tricky lol ;P

Not sure exactly what the white one is.... I'm not good at bantam breeds so I can't help, there... But if its by silkie standards, I would lean towards roo on the white one; comb and wild hairdo and all ;)
