Thank you. I am really hoping you are right. We lost our much loved Silkie rooster about a month ago. Our Silkie hens miss him.

Well then, I hope so too!

It seems so many of the birds posted on this thread are cockerels, I'm beginning to think that the 50% general rule doesn't exist for silkies

I wanna say pullet just because the crest is more rounded but the comb is pretty large and wattles too... So its not its not too clear for me yet. But I think the one in the background of the second pic is probably a rooster

Hello all, help greatly appreciated with sexing my silkie chicks. Approx 8 weeks old now. Chick 1 has always been slightly larger though chick 2 is catching up quickly lately.
