silkie sexing

@Sanafar Hi there. They all look like cockerels to me except for the last one. I hope I'm wrong and you have another girl in there somewhere

the top one looks like my buff silkie roo- just found out a few days ago. (thanks BYC!)
i think those are streamers on his head.

@MyMonsters91 They look like 2 boys to me.. sorry. I hope I'm wrong!

That's okay, if they end up being boys. I got them from a neighbor and they were only $5 each, which I consider a huge deal. I just hope, if they are boys, they get along with each other and are mellow enough for my BR Roo to leave them alone. I didn't expect to add more chickens to my flock until Spring, so it's a smallish flock and if they're males I might get stuck rehoming someone lol. Hope not, FX!

Hi, my barba d'uccle kindley hatched me 2 beautiful silkie chicks, currently 9.5 weeks old. I've been trying to guess the sex myself but wanted to see what others thought. The white bearded silkie I have guessed at a pullet and was 99% sure until I started reading this thread! She has no wattles, small comb and walks low. I can't see any streamers but that might be my untrained eye! The splash unbearded silkie looks identical to her red mum in head type which I think is a bit rooish despite being a pullet (is that a word? !) Same size as other chick (though completely different parents), also walks low, slightly bigger wattles and comb and possibly no obvious streamers? Help?

Here are pictures of four silkies. They are roughly 15 weeks old. I need to know the sex of all four of them. The pictures of the black silkies didn't turn out as clear as I would have liked and was interrupted by a copperhead appearing in the coop. Needless to say photo session ended abruptly. I know that the silkie on the bucket is a rooster. He is the same age as the other two black ones. I think one is a pullet and the other appears to act more like a pullet but had bigger wattles than the one I think is a pullet but then not near as big as the one I KNOW is a rooster. Ideas?
