Silkie/Silkie Mix?? Where is the tail of my Silkie??

It's a beautiful bird. Might one of the others be pulling out tail feathers? if it tips over, that may be a clue.

Hi! It's a beautiful bird & has such interesting colorings!

And I think this one's a cockerel.

I've had 2 local sellers (out of 3) that sold me silkie crosses (when I was looking for purebred). This one of yours looks like the aracauna/silkie cross I had...including the rumplessness...but mine wasn't as pretty colored.

It actually has some bald areas on the tops of the wings, but not from plucking...they are smooth and bald! And I agree about the aracauna/silkie cross.

This bird is odd not only in the way it looks, but acts funny...always looks lethargic, but after hovering over it since birth I think it is just unusually laid back...moved em outside, everyone else was in a panic..he just looked around and took a nap!

I ended up with I think 3 Silkies from this hatch that are definite crosses, should be interesting!!

Thank you for the heads up on the sex of it, I was leaning that way too! Hubby loves this one, and swears it is a boy!!
