I am so mad at you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are making me want Silkies again................. yikes I have 5 chickens .... dang the power of the Silkies has a hold of me

They just look so adorable ( please do not tell my BR ladies I said this ) ...

I only have 3 silkies .. and they're the ugliest things you ever saw in your life ...

I got 4 silkie chicks from a breeder a few months ago. 3 Buffs and 1 White one! One of the Buff chicks had a leg problem and died the next week, then a month later my favorite Buff silkie Cockeral got sick and died!

Then my White silkie go really weak and died and then my last Buff Silkie was doing just great until I went out to the coop and he was acting weird and the next morning he died as well ... I haven't had good luck with silkies this year.

I have decide no to buy anymore chicks from that breeder ...

I just took a few new pics of some of my little ones.

They are almost two weeks old and starting the funny looking stage.

How the heck do you keep their little furry feet clean? even on clean shavings they will FIND the poop and step in it.

So what kind of band are you referring to? Do you have any pics of how they are placed on the legs, I'm having a hard time picturing how they go around the feathers without messing them up?

We have 2 silkie hens who were not doing so well in the main coop. We bought a little coop for them and placed it outside our kitchen doors. Now
we can watch them all the time. They chase off all our dogs, cats & random chickens from the main coop. When they see us at the back door they
come RUNNING as fast as they can looking for a treat

The darker one Queen is my sons pet and she will sit happily on his lap for attention.
These photos I took one day as Maddie decided to check out the kitchen.
The last photo is when it was raining last week they huddled under the hose rack instead of going into their coop
