Dose anyone else give there silkies hair cuts? I like to be able to see there eyes. They have HUGE pretty eyes.

And I knew one of my hens needed an cut when I would bring her an treat, and she would start eating the air.

so one of my 2 week old chicks are bald around one eye, im guessing its getting picked on by another chick but its about 5 days older then the other ones. im i right or should i be worried

Yes, they are a lot more lively when they can see. As long as you are not planning to show them in the next several months. I use blunt nose sizzors. Sometimes the muff feathers are the worst culprits!

Here are some of my silkie babies! I recently lost 3 of them in a power outage while we were all asleep! I think they got too cold!

Anyone out there use wing bans on their silkies? I need to know what size to order. I want the kind that you squeeze by hand. Anybody use those? Thanks!!
