Silkie thread!

OKay, just read up on MG-- I know my current flock does not have this- nor has had anything. This is the FIRST time I've shipped in birds. Now, I'm sick to my stomach over this. Should I take one of them in to get a blood test to make sure what I have? I'm thinking I should. I've had my my other birds tested from time to time- still clean. Wow..

Seriously sick. Could this also just be a respiratory illness that doesn't make these birds carriers. I was going to integrate them all in a few more weeks, it never occured to me they had anything more serious than a cold. I'm going to hope they don't have this.

They sure do have the prettiest eyes, don't they? The boys look very sweet!

I never really noticed that until I bought a new pair at the last Stockton show from a Bay Area breeder & I noticed ow pretty their eyes were. Now I can always tell by looking which chicks are out of that pair.

What size wing tags do you get for your silkies?

I had so many boys at one time and I had to rehome some. As I was gathering up some boys to show someone what I had when I was rehoming, one of my boys Henry was just looking at me with those eyes and I could not bring myself to include him in the group to go. Henry is still with me today because of those darn eyes! LOL

Here is Henry and he has the most gorgeous deep eyes. Can you tell the little mixed boy in the corner of the picture is most likely his son? LOL
