I want to meet Malibue some time. she sounds so sweet. I really want a white silkie. If I ever get one should I buy it from a breeder?

Nice type, what color she is ? Blue (gold) partridge ?

Shes got some Partridge, some blue, black and rays of gold...she has some high vocal cords too!

Yes I tought to can see some Blue in the tail. I am very much interested in the color-genetics, specific in those of Silkies.

My turn usually I don't have much trouble deciding gender at this age but this one has me confused first I think it's a girl then a boy then back and forth again. 30 week old, almost 7 months has not crowed yet or layed an egg just makes little chicken noises at me and purrs like some of my girls. This is a PQ smutty buff silkie and has what looks like it wants to become a single comb. Due to an injury it is currently a house chicken as it recovers don't know if it will ever be able to join the flock but will always have a home here anyway.
So here is a photo of the head what do you think about gender?

It looks like you have 2 image quotes in the posting. If imageshack already allows you to post a link showing
at the end, just copy that and paste into the messgae. Nothing further is needed. I corrected you photo link and hoping it works!

Thank you ScaredOfShadows I have never had a single comb before on a silkie so have been totally confused it started growing early but then stopped and then seemed to be larger than what i had expected on a girl.

that is definately a single comb. if its 7 months old, I say girl. I have had single combed birds before, the girls have a decent comb, but they tend to crinkle like yours, where the boys get bigger and are extremely 'out there'
