Wow you guys, this is a first the Polish thread was actually more active
Anyway, they look to be all roo's from the pics
Okay one fast question, I've thought I've had gene genetics down pretty darn good but my husband disagrees with my intelligence, lol.
We're looking for some Silkies for later this spring/early summer and have been trying to decide on colors. I've always been attracted to white, they remind me of little fluffy marshmallows ^^ My husband on the otherhand wants everything but white. So to break the tie we're thinking about getting 2 white adult silkies (1 roo, 1 hen) while others be a mix of paint, splash, partridge and possibly black. Now, my husband is leery with my thoughts so he wants to back up my answer to make sure we're correct. So, if we had 1 white roo, that bred with a black hen, it's obvious that most chicks would be black. If we bred him to a splash hen, would the chicks be a lighter splash, to no splash at all (same question for paint). While if bred to partridge the color would remain partridge with a possibility of a few white chicks?
Thanks for the help in advance.
