Silkie thread!

I also posted this on the black silkie thread, but since this one is more active, I thought I'd post here too. Do you think this chick is blue or black?

Seen with EU eyes this pattern is too regular for a Splash. It looks more as a Columbian but not on a ground-color of "eb/eb" (Asiatic-partridge) what is common in EU but on a ground-color of "eWh/eWh" (wheaten) what is more common in US (I was told so)
In EU the Blue and Splash have as ground-color (e-allel) "E/E" which give when double diluted with "Bl/Bl" an irregular pattern of black/blueish patches as this one :

A Columbian Silver Partridge in EU on groundcolor "eb/eb" look like this one :

I have no idea about any of that. I simply bought him as a pet. I like his coloring though.
He was sold to me as a Splash at around 3-4 months old. I believe he came from a BBS breeding pen, if that matters.

Here's a quickie of him from today.

And here is one from a couple weeks ago. (Also, Kyla & Cali's butt!)

I have to hold onto this one!!! I have a bbs pen and haven't hatched black chicks yet. I'm separating the blacks in the spring, so I'm not letting this little baby go anywhere!!
