Silkie thread!

I wish it was just the flash.. the flash does make it more apparent but it's there and there is a lot of it which is why I first thought partridge.

Maybe someone with more experience then I can answer that. I was told by someone that shows that a blue cockerel with just a hint of leakage won a very large show because he was so well put together otherwise. I'm not sure 100% if it's points off or a full DQ for leakage... however I'll know when we go back to the fair tomorrow and read our coop tags. I had already entered our birds when I found out this one wasn't a partridge and my daughter didn't want me to leave her home so I let her take Chipmunk any how. I'm hoping that she won't be DQ'd but have also been told the judging at state fair is super strict. She has 12 birds at fair 5 being Silkies, so I'm hoping at least one of her birds does well.
Can she be shown AOV?

We Call this guy CoCo, if you look at him close up he looks like hes chocolate, hes one of my fav roosters we have, as he is always trying to come in the house. Sorrey About the bad Quality photo

That's a pretty chocolate color! That baby looks columbian to me.

Thank you! The pullet is blue with some leakage at the breast, hackles and wings... it's very sad I thought she was a blue partridge until I looked into it further and now know she's a dq'd blue. You can see the leakage quite well in my profile picture it's even up in her crest. She is my lil daughters FAVORITE bird but now she can't take her to shows, so I am trying to get my lil one a buff as she saw one at a show and fell in love with the golden color but I haven't had luck yet.

I am going to correct myself... another poster was kind enough to PM me that this is indeed a partridge just a dark one.
Also that leakage wouldnt have been the right term as it is on males inly in the hackles. Posting from my phone so that is just a paraphase of the PM.
I just wanted to correct what I said with what was very kindly relayed to me, as we are very new to this I am very grateful for the correction.
We are on the two hr drive back to fair to see bow my daughters birds did and for showmanship.

Yes, was told some judges will count off for the darkness but that is OK at least my lil one can still show chipmunk.

So my first attempt at hatching was a succesful one...these are the first three that hatched with each group.
1st to the left is 2 weeks
Middle is 1 week
