Aww! Cupcake is adorable!! She better STAY a she!

I ordered diapers from Louise's Country Closet when my guys were too little to go out in the winter...so they ran around my house alot in the evenings...They are great! Cute patterns and they fit very well. I also use them on Navidad when I take him in to my office for casual Fridays (or "show and tell")

He wears his fancy pink/white/sparkly ones for going out. No comments, please, LOL!

Ok, not a Silkie, but this is Mikey, my house chicken, in his Santa suit.
It's a parrot diaper. There are people on this site that make the diapers, look in BST- other, or find someone with parrots that WON'T wear the diapers.

I have a pretty good idea of why I am seeing it from the group of birds in question. The breeder is a sweet heart but doesn't seem to
do much more than throw birds together. I doubt she knows what split wing is...and she sells a LOT of hatching eggs. Oh well, live and
learn right? I will try to get pics today and post here so we can have a wing critique;-)

I'm a closet diaper-maker. Just for my own birds, though.

BUT they are really easy to make and there is a youtube tutorial on how to make them. You just type in chicken diapers. I use the laminated fabric for the rear end part and pretty cotton fabric for the breast. Instead of velcro, that will snag on everything, I use polyacetal resin snaps on the elastic-- they can be washed over and over and not rust or snag. I actually made this one for a friend who used it on a chicken who broke it's leg: (but don't ask, I'm not going into business!!!) LOL

not sure of her color they said blue perhaps but i'm confused by what the term BLUE means lol ...
wha t i do know is i love her markings... these pictures dont do her (hopefully her) lol justice...
shes super sweet the entire time i was taking pictures of her she was singing ...

she is the most vocal out of my silkie bunch. sorry she's a little dirty she decided to take a dirt bath this morning.

What a cutie!!! She is a Blue. Basically that means "not a Black" LOL!! She has gold leakage on her wings and back. A Blue can be a light grey to dark in color-- almost Black. Hope SHE is a girl!!


Stoopid-- awwww, that is an adorable little rooster you have there dressed in his santa outfit! hehe!! Looks like he does really well wearing it.
