Silkie thread!

Just to throw you into total confusion, here's a picture of my black hen when she was born. She is now totally black and has produced many babies and no splash. So it's really hard to tell when they are babies. I think yours could go either way but I predict she will at least look black or be black.

OK, so maybe a roost. I do have a little ramp with cross braces for foot holds. As for my rooster, he's lazy. He literally waits for the hens to squat down to mount them. If they don't, he just walks off. I do have a pen similar to the Midwest pen. I had to put chick wire around it because the slats are too wide.

BTW, I have a dumb question. Do silkie roos get spurs?

is hard to say i see them probley around 8 months old but there hard to see with all the feet feathers

the one on the left looks alot like a roo has a big comb for 3 weeks but hard to say it may be big know but might stop getting bigger

This thread has to be one of the best threads to post pictures. Love it.

I have a pipped little Silkie egg. Hoping I wake up to a petty blue in the morning. It's egg is marked..BBS. I have a splash, so, either black or a blue would be great. Have a white in there, and..a few showgirl eggs that made it to lock down. I really would like to get one of those.
