As this ones :
becoming as this :
It is still young can it grow to be “fluffy”? If I take a pet quality and breed with show quality and keep doing that each generation will they (the chicks) turn out to be show quality?
It can't be denied this is just a pet quality and will stay as that.
For the breeding eventually yes, with the right selection every generation.
When you want to arrive to high quality do yourself a favor and start at a higher level.
Thanks! I started last year with Buffs and they are at a much higher level. These partridge were given to me so I think I will practice breeding them to make higher quality chicks.
Cynthia those babies are utterly adorable.
And yes, I'd guess your blue splash is a girl
Mine are three wks. now and I'm ready to turn the light out at night because it's so warm in the house. I change the bulb every week or so to lower the temp and prepare them for out doors. I feed medicated chick feed till 4 months. If I have babies in with mature chickens I put the feed in a place they they can't reach it. I think your dividing plan will work fine. I do that with mature birds.
Thank you Fancy. )
Very Pretty, are you thinking girl? I have a white I can't wait to see at this age. Hope "she" looks as nice!
This sounds easier than the DE, where do you find it? Is it just for this purpose, or something you discovered on your own? I wonder, if it is smothering those little critters.
