Assuming these are not the case, there is no real change of comb/wattle colour in silkies. Sun and testosterone can slightly lighten comb colour on a more temproary basis. (Look at two silkie cocks who are sparring; chances are that the combs may be a bit redder than usual.)
Male based on comb size and size of wattles.Ok my peeps, here are a few of my Pet Quality chicks from the cuckoo roo that im selling hence the red comb and light eyes . But all have black skin and correct toes and about 3mos. Any quess on the sexes they all look the same to me except # 1 and # 8. I will post them one at a time because I havent the best internet connection out here in the booniesThanks for your help in advance.![]()

All these I guess male and the others could go either way. Really they all look too young to know for sure. I love the pale partridge color.
