Silkie thread!

I'm so excited to meet you this fall and pick up some birds when I come down to KS! Did you see the pictures I posted of some of the flock a few pages back? :)
oh I missed it!! Do you remember what page it was? Or just post them again! LOL I'm sure no one will mind! I'm pretty sure we can hook you up with a couple of birds.

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/297632/silkie-thread/21920 is the page with the pictures. Been trying to figure out a color I have coming out of my flock. Yes, I really like your blues. I don't care for the darker blues I see a lot of where you almost have to put it beside a black to make sure it is indeed a blue. Definately keep me in mind for some!

Unfortunately George is my only splash...I had him with my blues and whites but not lately so no splash babies. This is the one the judge at the last show labelled "out of class". I asked him what he meant and he says "that's a hen". I said "he crows...and he has a comb" and the judge made a show of picking him up and was like "oh i guess it is a rooster, but he's hen feathered". I have always liked his nice big topknot. I asked what he meant by that and he pretty much told me that George is gay and would never breed a hen. Well I guess George took offense and became a raging lil' poof ball of hormones the next day. I have not put him back with the flock because my other 3 roos get along great as long as George isn't there. (we call him Boy George lol) Soooooo....splash would be awesome

I was sitting outside with my oldest and some of our grow outs.  They are starting to get so big now!  Took a couple of cute pictures of them tonight as the light was growing darker.  This is summer time bliss right here:

They are beautiful. The one in the back that looks like it is running caught my.eye.

You don't say how old. Whites are always tough, I think.   It has a boy expression to me and possibly the start of streamers. Behavior is such a big part of sexing though.

This one will be 14 weeks Saturday. The other white I got at the same time is.diffently a boy; large walnut comb and.waddles; and he was having a crowing contest with my 9week old splash. This one has a smaller body type compared to the other. Does chest bump with the white boy but does not with the other 2 boys; just the one she has been with since birth.

you need splash... or blue. Or both! LOL! I think he looks fine. It sounds like the judge wasn't really sure what he was judging. The last two judges I've had have been liscensed in ABA as well as APA and judge shows all over (not just in this state). If you just have an APA judge, you might wind up with what you experienced. No real idea of what he's looking for.

Thank you! Yes, she was running, silly thing. :)
