So I'll keep working on that, but keep her separate until she decides: "to sit.....or not to sit.....that is the question". I would have expected mine to try and subjugate her....but it was the other way around. Go figure. Someday I'm going to write a book on Chicken behavior. It probably won't make any sense. But then again, their behavior doesn't either! HA!

Will you be at the White Springs show? I'm thinking of going.

I watched mine as young and as they get older that the females will hide under the males, if they are with the mom then they all hide under her, but when you separate you will see certain ones always hiding and you will see certain ones stand tall as if they are guarding, the ones standing tall are usually the males.

I mean this is what i sometimes go by and it has worked pretty good with good.

sometimes i get a few that cuddle together like they are both trying to hide under each, and both have been girls.
another thing to look for in there crest is
the boys you will see on there crest get these pointy sticking out more feathers i cant think right now hat they are called but they are different from the females.

I think it's a little late to try to hide this particular addiction.

I "CAME OUT OF THE COOP" several months ago and it's WONDERFUL!

Now I just laugh when I'm bragging on my Silkies and other people smile and nod politely to each other as they back away. It separates the chicken people from the riff raff, don't you think????? HA!

So I encourage all of you out there who may be hesitant to take that big step......COME OUT, COME OUT, WHERE EVER YOU ARE!
