These are my 9 Catdance chicks, about a week old.



















My blue hen Lila LOOOOOVED having the chicks all to herself. We have two white hens that hogged 8 of the chicks but kept picking on the little black one. I swear they're being prejudice because of the color!

Lila adopted the black chick and boy is she being a good mom for a first timer!

It's great to see how mother nature works and how the instincts kick in.

So stinken cute these pictures are of these precious chicks.

That is so sweet. Just love the picture of protection. It reminds me how God protects us in the shelter of His wings.

I just read the talk about the lavender partridges.

Here's my two.



Micah is from Catdance lines, and Chloe is from Bobbi Porto lines.
I believe Bobbi also told me Chloe would be a lavender partridge.





We're expecting babies this Monday!
Chloe *should* be the mom, since my other girl has been molting.

Micah is a stud!!! Chloe is such a princess, love the bow

Thank you! I have no idea what "type" of silkie he is.... (We were talked into getting him because he was the last one the store had!) I can't wait for him to get all his fluffy feathers on his head in! Seems to be taking FOREVER! (he is 3 months and 3 weeks old... I might just be impatient!)

I have a batch of dark blue (shoulda been black....) silkies that are approaching 4 months old. I think it was mentioned on here that leakage in the hackles is usually a sign of roo???? I have one with red leakage only on the front, one with silver peppered thruout its whole body and one with silver leakage just in the hackles area. Someone crowed yesterday, but I couldn't catch him in the act so I don't know which one it was! Sat out in the run in the rain for 20 minutes waiting for them to crow again....nothin'....
