Do any of you have mixed flocks? If so, how difficult is it to integrate silkies with LF?
Depends. I have a mixed flock and they get along great... Are you introducing new silkies to an existing LF flock? Or the other way around?

That seems to be a personal preference. I personally like the bearded birds better, but I love the non-bearded just as well. I have this blue pullet, 4 months old now. Non-bearded pet quality but I think she is absolutely beautiful. Is it better to have bearded or non bearded silkies. What does it change far as value and desirability at sales
I think she is just fine the way she is and beautifulThat seems to be a personal preference. I personally like the bearded birds better, but I love the non-bearded just as well. She does have FANTASTIC foot feathers though! lol But I think she's great no matter what. I wish I had a better picture of her, this one doesn't do her justice...![]()

Here is another poo chart. It is pretty extensive. Enjoyhttp://pluckandfeather.com/chicken-poo-chart-graphic.html![]()
Same here. So far we've only had pet quality and I think they're awesome. I don't care what they look like.I think she is just fine the way she is and beautifulI'm sure mine have flaws of some sort but they are my pets and I love them all!![]()

LOVEOkay, I finally got some quick and dirty photos taken of my 4 month old Silkies. 5 of the 7 are hatched from Catdance eggs. The 2 whites are a couple of weeks younger and from a different breeder.
I'm hoping you folks can help me determine sex - I know someone is crowing in the Silkie pen and I've got to clear those boys out before the Chicken Police show up at my door! I've got a pretty good guess on a few, but need confirmation. Once confirmed, all these boys are going to be going on Craigslist unless any Washington BYC'ers are interested.
I'll post them one chicken at a time so no one gets overwhelmed with zillions of photos!
Thanks in advance for those who choose to help me with this -
First is our Porcelain who pretty clearly is wearing a badge that says "Boy." Correct?
