Silkie thread!

Peep posted one back on 2433, they said it was like a 3-lobed crest instead of one big poof.

Thank you. I did see what she posted but I have no clue what a 3-lobed looks like LOL

This little self-blue pullet has a slight bonnet. The crest should preferably be round.

Instead of a round "globe", the crest appears to have 3 parts to it. A rounded section in the back...and two more sections...one on the right and one on the left that seem to droop down a bit on each side of the beak. This gives the appearance of an old fashioned baby bonnet. (or a Holly Hobby hat... or Little House on the Praire bonnet).

See this more rounded crest as a comparison.....

I am a little confused. Are we talking about the over all roundness on the top and then around the face?

I know of that happening a number of times. I forgot that I had a bird missing a toe once and showed him. I felt really bad when I remembered. But I have gotten pretty upset with people who knew (and said so) the bird had the wrong number of toes and were ecstatic that the judge missed it; IMO, that is WRONG. Mistakes...everyone makes them; deliberate choices...well it was a CHOICE.
It was a fair show, and my first ever. I knew I wasn't going to take any prizes, but wanted to get someone's opinion on her. I won't be bringing her to anymore shows I have already decided :) Thought the judges should be more thorough when checking feet. Her extra toe is off of her fifth toe. It's not a full extra toe.. more like a half?

Here is her feet.

Here you can see the half toe.
