Nice picture~thanks for posting that Shadow.
Tiki yes rich chocolaty colors, hee hee. Great pics Shadow!

I would leave the lobster toe on. Cutting could lead to an infection. Besides, little idiosynchrosis lead to character. :D

http://www.shagbarkbantams.com/contents.htm Many good health articles and description of how to vaccinate for mareks/ also, all about the benefits of Oxine

www.browneggblueegg.com is another good one. A lot of good articles including giving injections, crook neck and many articles on silkies.

You could trim it off (the extra piece of toe), like removing the dewclaw from a puppy. However, that would be wrong. First, it would be considered faking, would DQ the bird from shows and destroy your reputation if it was caught (mind you, I'm not saying you would do that, it's just what would happen to anyone).

The main thing, it would do you no good because it would still be there genetically. It would be like marrying someone that had a secret nose job and then wondering why all your kids had funny noses!

Good advice, hahahaha. No I wouldn't want to deceive anyone so it will be what it will be. I was just wondering if it would be healthier for the chick not to have that sticking out getting caught on something. Thanks!!!

a good picture to show the variation of partridge out of a single pen :

This, is just...plain, no fair! These are darling. I have tried several time this year to hatch myself some partridge..or "a" partridge. I have had eggs shipped to me from some real good breeders, one has been mentioned on here..none hatched, he worked with me, tried again, but to no avail. Seems shipping from there to here just doesn't cut it. I have had great hatches from other breeders that have the BBS colors. Popped out like popcorn when it was time..but for some reason, every time I try and get the partridge...no luck! I want a hen soo bad. If anyone ships babies...partidge...lol..let me know!

Yes I'm not touching it. I wouldn't want anything to happen to them because of that. Thanks for the link Tikti
