Silkie thread!

I have one of those oddball colors and wondered if there is a name for it, or just "off" :lau   He hatched from a paint showgirl egg, he was REALLY off.  No, I know the color doesn't breed true and you can get silkies.  Even though his color is funny, he's got great toes and he's a sweetheart, so he can stay at least for awhile.  He's (I think) around 3 mos old, I'd have to check my records to be sure.

He looks like a splash, but with red instead of the blue  No he is not splash, but that's just what he reminds me of :) Cool!

Sam is pretty and Hachi is adorable all wet!

I have a question about pullet [or cockerel] combs and waddles. I tried searching BYC but haven't had luck. I have some gorgeous 3 mo old silkies from The Gerry Farm [AH Robbins, Amy Crego, etc lines] and CJ Silkies. They are all gorgeous!

My sweet gray black lav split from CJ has proven to be a boy. :( I have a great home ready for him though. He started getting little reddish waddles about a month ago and his comb got bigger and lumpy, both were/are a deep mulberry color. He just now started a feeble pathetic little crow.

He's so so cute and sweet though.

My question is with my remaining chicks, all white beardeds.

I have one [one of my favorites] that has developed tiny little waddles, though not mulberry in color. Also, s/he has a raised comb [maybe 1/4"]. It is smooth, symmetrical, and dark gray, no red tones at all [unlike the gray boy above who was mulberry right away] but raised up. It's really hard to get a clear picture of this because she is so fluffy and bearded and the waddles are too small to get with a camera. My description is exact though.
Should I prepare for a boy here too, or could this be normal for a pullet???

I just adore her/him so much.

S/he acts very girlie. Never ever chest butts, moves away from the others when they do, walks with her chest very close to the ground never standing straight and tall, and is a total "lap dog". Very mellow. Runs to hide when anything scares her. Her crest is very round, very round, with no swept back look and no streamers. A sister from the same group is very similar to her in all ways except her gray comb is flat and she has no waddles.

Any guesses on sex???

Thanks so much!!

A quality silkie cockerel does not have a swept back look until his comb gets so large that it some times pushes the crest back. But, I would be suspicious of a comb that size at 3 months.

Thanks peepblessed.

So here are some pictures of this boy/girl. You can see the crest shape,. the comb, the waddles, and the beak curve.
S/he is 3 months and 1 week old. And a total calm gentle love bug.
Again all behavior speaks to a girl [as written above] but the comb and waddles I am wondering about. Sorry we had rain today and this one got a little muddy! S/he had a ball though.

Guess the sex, please! :) Thanks!!

Let's see if I have a better pic...

Pretty sure it's a frizzle..I guess I didn't get a very good view of the wings dipping, then
going straight up! Plus, the feathering coming in on the toes are all wacky..lol...

Thanks peepblessed.
