Silkie thread!

Here are pictures of my Partridge frizzle. 5 and a half weeks old. Probably too soon to tell the sex, unless there are some real good indications of one or the other?

Another of the comb area

color, read that if it's too dark an orange, possibly a boy? No!

It's cuteness.

Another one of it's cuteness. :)) Thanks for any comments on if it's too early to tell
or not.

The comb looks like it will be pretty big, so it MAY be a boy but yeah I think it's too soon to tell.

here are the combs from my two girls at 5 and 9 weeks old

yeah I just got a 5 month old polish cockerel and the woman said he has been mating with one of her silkie hens

She said he was a "stud muffin" haha my girls seem to like him, but they aren't laying yet. He just started crowing 2 days ago. I'm hoping he keeps it hush hush at least because I rent

He stays locked in the coop for the morning.

I love my Polish. Her mate died. She joined the Phoenix flock. She's the only one that will come when I call her. Sweetest little thing!

Your cutie looks pretty boyish. :)

Got a question, what the minimum height should a fence have to stop silkies? mine is 5 ft tall but they are still babies...

Thank you. We cut the tree because we needed to close the top (to avoid rain inside the run) but decided it would be cool to leave it for the chickens. We added a ladder for the silkies to go on top and they love perching on it. They also eat the foliage and the leaves grow back lol. It's entraining for them.
We did the same thing for our big girls and they fight for it lol.

It's like a mini tree! Awesome!! :D
