Silkie thread!

My Polish (LF) thinks she's a Phoenix (LF). Her man will be the Phoenix roo! So no, I won't be hatching those eggs! LOL Those would be some funky chickens.

Why on earth not?! They would be super pretty!!

My Polish is a huge character. I love her to death. She is blind in one eye and a total diva. When other birds are in her way, she doesn't peck them, she scratches them. Like she's scratching for... scratch.. yeah.. she's odd.. Thinks she's a silkie too.



Here she is, harassing a broody silkie and her bitties. I have no idea where that silkie's head is, or even which silkie hen it is of mine. Either Lorraine or Pearl.

Jagger the rooster loves bitties. He stopped Harriet (polish) from bothering them too much with her scratching. hehee

I am really enjoying having roosters! I love that they're not very loud too so fun! Is it normal for them to look really goofy when they walk/run?

My lf polish were lean and small. About the same size as my silkies body wise, they were taller though. They could easily interbreed. Bantam polish are even tinier.

So, my silkie laid her second egg yesterday, she's averaging 1 every other day, so i look forward to tomorrows egg. Now all i have to do is figure out whether my other two silikies are male or female! They're probably 5 and 6 months old now so it wont be long. Maybe someone could help me out...here's a decent picture of my buff silkie, i think she's a little female....

If anyone can tell about the little black silkie that would help too.
